Select the New/Import Portfolio button in the My Portfolios tab:
Then select the Import button located in the lower left corner:
Locate the file in your computer and a snapshot of the excel file will be created inside Everysk Dashboards. Then, use the pull down menus above the table to manually select the column containing tickers and the column containing contracts/shares:
Notice that there is a third pulldown called Aggregation Labels. This is an optional column that would need to be manually entered in the xls or csv. This column would be used in certain templates to perform risk aggregation by user-defined themes.
Press the Import Selected Columns button. If you see a warning similar to the figure below, you will need to fix those rows:
There are several reasons why fields might not map to our database: either because they are not valid rows with tickers/quantities, the ticker is not recognized or your subscription plan does not entitle you to those securities. If you believe the errors are related to title rows (for example), you can eliminate those rows automatically, without first reviewing them. If you believe that the errors are due to securities that did not map to our universe, it is safer to proceed without removing them and then typing the name of the company over the mismatched ticker: the self completion mechanism should be able to find the security.
The system will indicate the status of the underlying positions being uploaded in real time. As positions get uploaded, the following icons are used during the upload:
|Status Symbol||Status Meaning||Explanation|
|Success||Symbol Resolved AND Contracts is a valid number|
|Failure||Symbol Unresolved OR Contracts is not a valid number|
|Warning||Symbol Resolved. Contracts is a valid number, but the Symbol either: lacks sufficient historical data, has zero 10-day historical volatility or has a new price that is greater than a 3-sigma event|
|Working||Symbol being resolved|
After all the positions have received a Success status, give a name to the portfolio, set the base currency and press the Create Portfolio button.
